Mickey SIPORIN

USA

Cartoonist, film maker and professor of fine arts, Mickey Siporin
traces his interest in editorial cartooning and social issues to the
regular political discussions he used to have with his father while
growing up in Chicago in the 1950s.
He now lives with his daughter in Upper Montclair, New Jersey,
where he teaches cinematography and various aspects of cartooning
at Montclair State University.
His cartoons have appeared in the Los Angeles Times, The New York
Times, Newark Star-Ledger, Toronto Star and The Village Voice.
His short comedy films have been shown on Cinemax, HBO, PBS and
Showtime.
In 1995, Siporin won the New York Press Association's second place
award for editorial cartooning.
