VJESNIK Zagreb, CROATIA Oton-Anton REISINGER was born in Rancovci in 1927. At the age of 16, Reisinger joined Tito's Partisans and fought from 1943-45. While studying engineering and architecture in Zagreb, he began publishing his first caricatures in magazines. After Kruschev complained to President Tito about REISINGER's attacks on Stalinism, Reisinger turned to more satiric, humorous cartoons. Reisinger hs been on the staff of Vjesnik since 1950. He has also illustrated many books, designed posters in Yugoslavia, Switzerland and England, and has done scenarios for animated films as well as costuming. | |
