Born in Winnipeg in 1936, Roy Peterson works for The Vancouver Sun and Maclean's. His work has appeared in all major Canadian and most major American newspapers and magazines. He worked with Stanley Burke on the best-selling Frog Fables & Beaver Tales series and has illustrated many book covers and produced his own collections of his cartoons: The World According to Roy Peterson, and Drawn & Quartered. Married with five children, he was, in 1982-83, the first Canadian-born president of the Association of American Editorial Cartoonists. He won the Grand Prize at the international Salon of Caricature in Montreal in 1973 and is a six-time winner of the National Newspaper Award. | |
