 Alan MOIR Australia Alan Moir of New Zealand got his Bachelor of Fine Arts from Auckland University. He moved to Australia in 1974 where he began working for The Bulletin, a weekly national news magazine. He joined the staff of the Brisbane Courier Mail in 1979. Moir gained his present position of Editorial Cartoonist for the Sydney Morning Herald in 1985, at which time he also won the inaugural "Australian Cartoonist of the Year" award. Moir's cartoons have been published in a variety of leading humor and news publications such as Punch, The New York Times and World Press Review. In addition, Moir is the author of five books. |
