![]() Brian GABLE Canada Brian Gable was born in Saskatoon in 1949. After graduating from the University of Saskatchewan with a degree in Fine Arts, Gable received a B.Ed. from the University of Toronto. From 1971 to 1980 he taught high school art in Brockville, Ontario, and was also employed as a free-lance cartoonist for the local paper. In 1980, he accepted a full-time position as the editorial cartoonist with the Regina Leader Post. Gable's work now appears in Toronto's Globe and Mail. In the spring of 1987 he won the 1986 National Newspaper Award for Editorial Cartooning, the only national award of its kind. |
