Joseph Farris was born in Newark, New Jersey, but grew up in Danbury, Connecticut, where he studied at the Whitney School of Art. Farris served in the 100th Infantry during World War II. His work can be found in The New Yorker both inside and on the cover. Farris¹ works have been reproduced in a number of other publications and books. He is also an accomplished painter and sculptor and has been exhibited in various venues around New York City. There have been several compilations of his work published, including ³Just a Cog in the Wheel² and ³They¹re a Very Successful Family². Joseph Farris is the recipient of the Emily Lowe Award. | |
