Frans De Boer (Efbé) was born in Maastricht, the Netherlands, in 1930. A graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts, Efbé began his career as a freelance cartoonist in 1965. His cartoons have been seen in the world¹s leading journals, including The Saturday Evening Post and National Review in the United States and his work has been widely exhibited throughout Europe. Efbé¹s illustrations for major European advertisers and for books and other journals are in constant demand. His books include, Daar Lach Je Dan? (1963); and Boerlesk (1982). Efbé¹s cartoon on AIDS was awarded First Prize by Holland¹s National Health Service. Efbé's humor cartoons are syndicated internationally by Cartoonists & Writers Syndicate. | |
