Lutz Bubec Backes was born to Ernst and Emma Backes in Mannheim, Germany, on July 16, 1938. Bubec has shown in numerous exhibitions around the world since 1967. Among his many awards are the Italian Minister of Cultural Affairs Award, 1975 and '81; the Turkish Press Office award, 1977; the World Exhibition award, Montreal, 1976 and '79. Bubec is also the author of many books: Auf's Maul Geaugt, 1968; Kopfjagd, 1969; Die Pracht Am, 1972; Showt Her, wir Sind's, 1974; Bubec Cartoons, 1977, Œ79; and Personiflage, 1982. | |
